The Auckland Aces and the Northern Knights are going to be playing against each other for the second time in succession as the action in the Super Smash 2021-22 continues. There was a lot of international New Zealand talent on display in the previous match between the two and the same is expected for this next match as well.
The Northern Knights have a spectacular recent record against the Auckland Aces but that does not mean that you should count out the Aces just yet.
Match Prediction and cricket betting tips for Auckland Aces vs Northern Knights Super Smash 2021-22. The match is going to be played at Eden Park, Auckland on the 20th of December 2021.
The Auckland Aces were strengthened by the presence of Martin Guptill and Lockie Ferguson in the previous match. Both of them played well and contributed but that was still not enough for the Aces to win. George Worker and Mark Chapman are the other batsmen that have to step up and contribute to the Auckland Aces.
Similarly, there is really no one apart from Lockie Ferguson in the lineup that is going to be able to keep up the pressure in the bowling unit. The Auckland Aces have to hope for something spectacular from Martin Guptill or Lockie Ferguson to win them the match.
Martin Guptill, George Worker, Mark Chapman, Robert O'Donnell, Ben Horne, Sean Solia, Cole Briggs, Louis Delport, Lockie Ferguson, Adithya Ashok, Benjamin Lister.
Joe Carter and Colin de Grandhomme batted brilliantly to win the match for the Northern Knights in the previous match. It was the first time that these players had scored runs in Super Smash 2021-22 and that bodes well for the team moving forward. Jeet Raval and Tim Seifert add more depth to the batting lineup. We think the Knights have the advantage of being able to depend on more than one player to carry them in every match.
Trent Boult bowled brilliantly in the previous match but did not pick up a wicket. Scott Kuggeleijn picked up four wickets, as did Joe Walker, and Ish Sodhi bowled superbly as well. We don't think any one of these bowlers is as good as Lockie Ferguson but overall, the standard of quality is better than the Auckland Aces.
Katene Clarke, Tim Seifert, Jeet Raval, Joe Carter, Colin de Grandhomme, Henry Cooper, Anurag Verma, Ish Sodhi, Zak Gibson, FL Walker, Matthew Fisher.
The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first.

The weather forecast for Auckland is quite good and we do not expect any interruptions. The pitch at Eden Park is quite fast and bouncy. The outfield is also very small and some of the dimensions are truly comical for batsmen of this stature. A lot of sixes are hit in matches held here and there is a good chance of a 200 plus score being hit.
We are going to bet on the Northern Knights to win. The Auckland Aces have two of the best T20 players in New Zealand in their lineup but the supporting cast is very weak. The Northern Knights, on the other hand, have a strong team with more quality spread through their ranks.
Bet on the Northern Knights to win.
