We just saw Brisbane Heat Women suffer a costly collapse in their previous match in the Women's Big Bash League, but that will no longer be making any difference as no other team can now take their spot in the top four on the points table.
Brisbane Heat Women's upcoming match against Melbourne Renegades Women is going to be a dead rubber as both sides have already qualified for the playoffs. The match between the two sides is to be played at Ray Mitchell Oval, Harrup Park, Mackay on 20th November 2021.
Placed third on the points table at the moment, Brisbane Heat Women have already qualified for the next round, but they will be a tad disappointed with the performance they have put in the recent matches. They will be looking to register a win in this upcoming match to gain some momentum and confidence before heading into the knockouts.
They are coming off a narrow loss by nine runs at the hands of Sydney Thunder and will want to put that behind. Led by Jess Jonassen, Brisbane Heat have a wealth of experience available in their ranks with the likes of Georgia Redmayne, Jess Jonassen, Laura Kimmince, and Grace Harris available.
Their top players in the tournament have not really fired for them in the last couple of matches and Brisbane Heat Women would want them to back in the form before the semis. If that happens and Brisbane Heat Women are able to play to their potential, beating them will be incredibly difficult.
Georgia Redmayne, Grace Harris, Georgia Voll, Mikayla Hinkley, Laura Kimmince Harris, Jess Jonassen, Ellie Johnston, Nadine de Klerk, Nicola Hancock, Courtney Sippel, Poonam Yadav.
Placed at the top of the points table, Melbourne Renegades Women are coming off a shocking defeat at the hands of Hobart Hurricanes, who were at the bottom before the match even started. Having said that, Melbourne Renegades Women still occupy the top spot and a win here will push them in a decent place to top the group.
It was always apparent that the Renegades are over-dependent on Jemimah Rodriques and Harmanpreet Kaur and we saw that happen in the previous match as well. None of those batsmen could do enough as Hurricanes kept pushing pressure on the Renegades. They would want to consider that previous loss as a one-off and will want to get back to the winning ways.
All in all, the Renegades Women have a decent side and the results show that. If they are able to play to their potential, they will be a very tough side to handle.
Jemimah Rodrigues, Eve Jones, Courtney Webb, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jess Duffin, Sophie Molineux, Josie Dooley, Ellie Falconer, Rhiann O' Donnell, Ella Hayward, Holly Ferling.

This is a near-top-of-the-table encounter and promises to be a cracker of a contest. While both sides are coming off losses in their respective matches, the Renegades Women have done a better job in recent matches. Considering that and the other factors stated above, betting on a Melbourne Renegades Women win should be the way to go.
