The Comilla Victorians bowled the Sylhet Sunrisers for just 96 in their opening match, an excellent performance, but then lost 8 wickets while chasing this small total. That win was far from convincing and will raise more questions about the stability of the Comilla Victorians batting.
Cameron Delport, Faf du Plessis, Mominul Haque, and Imrul Kayes are the players that formed the batting lineup in the previous match. Delport and du Plessis can find the Dhaka surface a bit challenging and scoring runs fluently is not going to be an easy task for them. Mominul Haque and Imrul Kayes will have to be the ones to take the leading roles in the batting department. We think a small bet on Imrul Kayes to be the Top Batsman for the Comilla Victorians could be worth the risk.
Mustafizur Rahman is the obvious big name in the bowling department. He picked up two wickets in the first match and is going to be a threat every time he bowls on the slow Dhaka surface. What was also impressive to see was Nahidul Islam, Tanvir Islam, and Shohidul Islam bowl very well also.
This suggests that the Comilla Victorians have some real depth in their bowling lineup.

Fortune Barishal put in a poor batting performance for the second match in a row. For a while, it seemed as if the bowling attack would bail it out once more but that did not happen and Fortune Barishal ended up losing to Minster Dhaka.
Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, and Shakib Al Hasan were the only players that made any sort of sizeable contribution with the bat. In fact, only Shykat Ali got into double figures apart from the three senior members of the group. This dependence on the old stalwarts has to be concerning for the team.
Najmul Hossain Shanto and Nurul Hasan are also a part of the lineup so there is some scope for improvement in the batting.
Alzarri Joseph and Shafiqul Islam were the ones that had helped turn the tide in favor of Fortune Barishal in their opening match and they almost did the same in the previous contest. The pair combined to pick up 4 wickets in 2.5 overs but the rest of the bowling could not keep the pressure going. Also, the total being defended was so poor that it just took one or two big hits for the entire pressure to be relieved.
Fortune Barishal certainly seems to have a strong bowling lineup. It is just a matter of time before Shakib and Bravo come to the party as they are far too good to fail for too long.

The conditions in Dhaka are going to be very similar to what we have seen so far. The weather will be perfect for cricket as there is no rain predicted. The surface is going to be a bit testing for the batsmen. There is no real pace or bounce to work with so getting off to a strong start is very important. The boundaries become hard to come by once the ball becomes older.
The spinners will dominate and falling significantly behind the run rate is almost impossible to recover from.
We think a score of around 150 should be considered par.
