The Multan Sultans finally lost a match in PSL 2022 as they were beaten by the Lahore Qalandars in their previous match. They will now be taking on the Karachi Kings who have lost all seven of the matches that they have played up until now. The fact that you can lose close seven matches out of ten and still not be eliminated from a potential playoff spot is not very good for the PSL.

The Multan Sultans are all but certain of qualifying for the playoffs and their eyes are going to be on a top-2 finish. Their batting has been the best this season and we think there is a good chance that can continue. Players like Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan, and Tim David are all in terrific form. In fact, someone like Sohaib Maqsood or Khushdil Shah has gone under the radar because of the brilliance of the others.
There is an immense amount of depth and power in this lineup. Since it can be a bit of guesswork to pick the top batsman between these players, the preferred betting strategy would be to bet on the team as a whole to hit more sixes, more fours, and have the player with the highest individual score.
The bowling attack for the Multan Sultans is not the strongest and that is where it can be targeted. Khushdil Shah and Imran Tahir may find the conditions in Lahore a bit tougher as the pitch is not as slow as in Karachi. Also, Blessing Muzarabani and Shahnawz Dahani have not been as successful as in previous seasons.

The Karachi Kings just cannot buy a win at the moment. Seven wins and seven losses have put them in a tough spot. They have tried everything to break this sequence of losses but it is just not ending. Even in the previous match that they lost by just one run, there were a couple of opportunities to finish off the game but the Karachi Kings choked.
One of the major problems for them has been the batting lineup. Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam have not been able to fire in unison or consistently as individuals. This is has put pressure on the batsmen that follow and no one has been able to stand up and deliver.
Joe Clarke or Sahibzada Farhan have disappointed as have some of the other players before them. A genuine lack of batting talent available in the squad seems to be holding the Karachi Kings back. Qasim Akram got a chance in the previous match and he showed that he is one for the future for sure.
Maybe he could be sent up the order. Either way, the Karachi Kings have struggled with the bat and that does not seem to be coming to an end any time soon.
The bowling attack for the Karachi Kings is not that much better either. Imad Wasim, Chris Jordan, and Umaid Asif are the leaders of the bowling attack. While Imad Wasim has not been at his best, Chris Jordan continues to be a rose version of what we have seen at the international level.
None of the players that the Karachi Kings expected to make an impact have been able to do so. In this poor form and with little motivation of a playoff spot ahead of it, the Karachi Kings could have the worst season for any team in PSL history.

The conditions in Lahore are excellent weather-wise and the pitch ahs continue to play very well for the batsmen as well. It is flat, even-paced (a bit slow), and is accompanied by a fast outfield. Scores of 180 or more seem to be the norm for Lahore. We could see a bit of slowing down in the pace of the pitch as the matches continue but that has not been the case so far.
