With an important win over Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi bounced back into the hunt and will be keen to build onto their win. The middle part of the points table now looks extremely competitive and each win hereon is going to be of massive importance. Unfazed by the competition, Multan Sultans are flying heavy and will be looking to keep on with their winning streak in this upcoming match.
Up next in the tournament, Peshawar Zalmi are set to take on Multan Sultans in what is going to be Zalmi's most difficult match to date. The match between the two sides will be played at the National Stadium, Karachi on 5th February 2022.
Peshawar Zalmi's struggle with the ball came to an end in their most recent match as they managed to defend just about a par score against Karachi Kings. Their bowlers all bowled brilliantly at the death and that was the primary reason for their win over the Kings.
With that win over the Kings, Peshawar Zalmi moved up to the fourth spot on the ladder with two wins and two losses to their name. They still have a pretty poor net run rate of -0.749, which is something they would need to improve before things get too tight for their liking.
On the bowling front, Peshawar Zalmi will need to bring out their A-game or they might well end up struggling against a power-packed Sultans' unit. Most of their bowlers have leaked runs at an economy rate of over nine an over thus far and will need to improve going forward. On the batting front as well, they look a tad over-reliant on the likes of Shoaib Malik and Sherfane Rutherford to not only hold the innings but also to prove an impetus to their innings.
On paper, Peshawar Zalmi have a decent side and the recent win over Karachi Kings would have added to their confidence. It is not going to be easy for them in this upcoming contest but if they are able to play to their potential, getting past them will be extremely difficult.

With four wins in four matches already, Multan Sultans are certainly eyeing an early playoff spot. A couple of more wins will reserve a playoff berth for them and that is exactly what they will be targeting hereon. They have been brilliant up until now and that is reflected by the position they are in on the ladder.
Currently, on the points table, Multan Sultans are placed at the top with four wins in four matches. Not only that, they have a terrific net run rate of 0.620, which just shows how dominant they have been. They have done a terrific job in both departments of the game and have the results to show for it.
All in all, Multan Sultans not only have a terrific side on paper but they also have done incredibly well on the field and will be brimming with confidence. Perhaps the only thing that they will need to be wary of is being complacent and if they are able to take care of that and play to their potential, they will be in for their fifth straight win of the season.

Batting has been easy in the tournament thus far and chasing even easier. Dew has helped batsmen in the second innings and we expect nothing different in this match as well. Expect the captain winning the toss to field first.

Karachi has so far been a very high-scoring venue and totals of over 200 have not been as uncommon. Short boundaries and even carry ensure value for the shots for the batsmen. As has been the case in the tournament so far, bowlers are going to have a hard time here. For that reason, the team batting first would want to score a total of at least 180 runs.

Both sides are coming off remarkable wins in their last respective matches and will be high on confidence. While Multan Sultans have an incentive of booking a slot early in the playoffs with a win here, the Zalmi would want to win here to establish themselves in the top four. Considering the two sides on paper and their recent form, we would be placing our money on a Multan Sultans win and so should you.
Given the nature of the surface and the form these two sides are in, batting is expected to spectacularly easy. For that reason, a bet on match total to exceed 330 runs seems to be a lucrative option.
Mohammad Rizwan has been in brilliant form since beginning of the last year and hasn't looked back. He has looked terrific in this edition of PSL as well. Considering that, a bet on Rizwan to be the best batsmen of the day for Sultans seems to be the way to go here.
