The final couple of IPL 2022 group matches are about to be played and we have all but one playoff place decided. unfortunately for the fans of Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Punjab Kings, neither of these teams is going to be competing for that one spot. SRH and PBKS have been eliminated from the IPL 2022 playoff race.
This makes their upcoming match a bit of a dead rubber. There is nothing to gain except for maybe finishing a bit higher on the league table. From a betting point of view, such a match can always be a bit tricky to bet on as teams can often make unexpected changes to try and give their bench a run.

Match prediction and IPL betting tips for SRH vs PBKS IPL 2022. The match is going to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on the 22nd of May 2022.
SRH won its previous match against MI by three runs thanks to a brilliant death bowling performance by Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. He nailed his yorkers and bowled a 19th over maiden, something, that is extremely rare in T20 cricket!
SRH's bowling attack has been quite potent throughout IPL 2022 although its batting has fallen away. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Umran Malik are the bowlers that are currently in great form as T Natarajan and even Marco Jansen seem to have fallen away a bit.
The lack of a quality spin option has hurt SRH throughout this season and that will also be an issue in this match.
SRH's batting has been led by Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran. In recent matches, though, it has been Tripathi that has been carrying the batting lineup as the others have fallen away. The pitches becoming a bit slower and more spin-friendly has definitely not worked in favor of the SRH middle order.
As things stand, SRH is an average team with some excellent players. What we have seen so far shows that the team is not capable of winning consistently.

PBKS came into IPL 2022 with one of the best-rated squads and with an attitude that was supposed to change how T20 cricket was played in the IPL. Clearly, the team had title ambitions and so this season would have to be regarded as a failure.
PBKS has a fantastic batting line-up with players like Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Shikar Dhawan, Mayank Aggarwal, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. There is no questioning the pedigree of either of these players and any one of them can win a match on their own.
It is also right to mention Jitesh Sharma as another T20 match-winner in the lineup since his performances have been quite brilliant this season.
Unfortunately, this batting lineup has as often failed as often it has come off. PBKS veers from being brilliant and seemingly unstoppable to imploding and completely collapsing. We have found betting on PBKS to hit more sixes than its opposition an excellent option while betting.
The bowling lineup for PBKS is also excellent on paper. Arshdeep Singh has bowled the most yorkers in IPL 2022 and is one of the most economical bowlers in the death overs. Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Harpreet Brar, and Rishi Dhawan are all very good options to have in the team.
For some reason, this lineup has not come together as a unit and be able to perform to the level that PBKS fans would have liked.

The team that wins the toss is going to want to field first. Two out of the three previous matches have been won by the chasing team and almost 60% of the matches played at the Wankhede in IPL 2022 have been won by the chasing team as well.

The conditions in the Wankhede will start as being batter-friendly but the pitch slows up and then starts to spin as the match goes on. This means that there is a lot of importance in taking advantage of the new ball. We think that will be favorable to PBKS in this contest.
The spin options at PBKS's disposal are also far superior. The par score should be something around 175.
