The Hundred has gotten off to a great start and we have been impressed with the pace of the matches, the presentation, and the manner in which the players have approached this new format. Of course, the game remains the same and the contest between the bat and ball is what has spectators enthralled.
Two teams that have not been in action so far are going to be playing this match. The Trent Rockets are going to be playing against Southern Brave as they kick off their campaign. There are just eight matches for each team and so getting off to a good start is essential.

The Trent Rockets have some terrific players in their team to lead their charge. That is true for most teams in the Hundred, however, the Trent Rockets look quite strong even in their comparison.
Alex Hales is going to lead the batting lineup and this is another chance for him to try and force England’s hand and select him. He has been sidelined even after some terrific batting performances and is our player to watch out for.
Luke Wright may be at the end of his career but he could make an impact at the top of the order also. Dawid Malan, Darcy Short, Joe Root, and Lewis Gregory make this a very strong batting lineup. It has the depth and the power needed to be able to attack from the start and not slow down even when the wickets fall.
That is a huge advantage to have.
The bowling lineup is not too bad either. Players like Samit Patel, Timm van der Gugten, Rashid Khan, and Wahab Riaz make this an absolute beast of a team. Quality spinners, quality fast-bowlers, and some of the fiercest hitters in all of England. The Trent Rockets are going to be hard to stop.

Southern Brave has been hit hard by some injuries and travel restrictions that has prevented some of its best players from being available. Andre Russell and Jofra Archer are names that any team would love in their ranks but they are not going to be taking part for the SOuthern Brave in this edition of the Hundred.
Devon Conway has had a great summer and would love to continue his good form in this tournament as well. He has a great T20 record and we are not going to bet against him getting some runs in this match either. His tendency to get out against spin could be exploited by the Trent Rockets, though.
James Vince is also in great form and is perhaps having the most success he has ever had in his career. He is another player to watch out for. While players like Delray Rawlins, Liam Dawson, Alex Davies, and Ross Whiteley add depth to the team, we don’t think Souther Brave has the dangerous batters than the Trent Rockets do in their lineup.
Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills, Danny Briggs, and George Garton are all very good bowlers and form a pretty tough unit to face. This is where Southern Brave would be hoping to tilt the contest in its favor. It is not going to be easy against a very strong batting lineup, though.

There are some clouds around but the overall weather forecast is quite good. We should be able to have a complete game without too many ( if any) interruptions. The pitch at Trent Bridge is going to be an absolute road. It will have some nice carry that allows the batsmen to hit through the line freely and make the most of their saints in the middle.
A lot of runs should be scored here and we could see something close to 170 if a top-order batsman gets stuck in.
